SUNRISE TRAIL (SHARED TRAIL)
The Sunrise Trail is a guided morning ascent that brings you to one of the highest and most scenic points of the georeserve in under an hour. Winding through over 600 carved stone steps, the trail moves through ancient limestone formations, secondary forests, and opens up to a 360-degree view of the karst landscape—just in time for the break of day.
Though shorter in duration, this trail is no less profound. Once walked as a pilgrimage, it still carries the spirit of intention and reflection. Each step offers the chance to reconnect with the land, the self, and something greater. It’s a trail that mirrors the quiet unfolding of the morning—from darkness to light, stillness to clarity.
The Sunrise Trail is an invitation to slow down, breathe deeply, and begin the day in communion with nature—without the 3–4 hour hike required by our other routes.
At the summit, guests are welcomed by sweeping views, drifting clouds, the golden glow of the sun rising over the Sierra Madre — and perhaps nocturnal creatures still lingering in the shadows, just before the day fully claims the forest. The experience culminates in a traditional Filipino breakfast shared in stillness: Arroz Caldo or Ube Champorado, paired with hot cocoa or herbed tea—a simple offering to the morning, and to yourself.

Good to Know
- Though shorter than both the Discovery and Legacy Trails, it demands a steady ascent—600 steps upward.
- Reaching it requires a brief detour from the highway, thus the need for private vehicles.
- This trail was once walked as a pilgrimage and still carries the same spirit of reflection. It is not bound to any one faith or belief, but rooted in the timeless human act of walking with intention. Along the way, spiritual and cultural stories are shared—not to impose, but to invite reflection on the shared human experience.
- This experience is a shared trail meaning guests would be grouped together to complete the maximum number of guests in one time slot. For private group visits, kindly request on this link at least three (3) days prior to your preferred date.
